In an attempt to defend his undisputed super bantamweight title, Japanese boxer Naoya Inoue will step into the ring against former IBF champion TJ Doheny on September 3rd at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan. Their fight will be paired with yet another title fight between Yoshiki Takei and Daigo Higa, for Takei's WBO bantamweight title.

Pound-for-pound great and four-division champion Naoya Inoue looks to hold onto super bantamweight gold when he defends his status as the undisputed champion against TJ Doheny. The fight is in Inoue's home of Japan.

Takei is a multi-time kickboxing champion who quickly climbed up the boxing rankings. The Southpaw beat then-WBO titleholder Jason Moloney in his ninth pro fight. Higa (21-2-1) is a former WBC flyweight champion who last held gold in 2018. On a four-fight win streak, Higa has won 19 fights via knockout.

Meanwhile, Ismael Barroso defends the interim WBA super lightweight title against Andy Hiraoka.

The 41-year-old Barroso is a multi-time world title challenger. He lost against Rolando Romero for the WBA super lightweight title following a controversial stoppage. He rebounded by taking out Ohara Davies in January via TKO to win the interim belt. Hiraoka has 18 wins via knockout, winning nine straight via the power punch.

Japanese superstar Naoya Inoue will look to keep his dominance over the super bantamweight division going early on Tuesday morning in a fight against TJ Donehy with Inoue's unified titles on the line.

The 31-year-old has established himself as the dominant force in the division. His work has earned him the No. 2 spot on the most recent pound-for-pound rankings from Bleacher Report.

Inoue has put together a perfect 27-0 record with 24 of those wins coming by way of knockout or TKO. His campaign has featured world titles in four different weight classes, including two undisputed runs at his current weight and bantamweight.

TJ Doheny comes into the bout as a massive underdog. He won the IBF title back in 2018 and has been working his way back up the ladder. Now he gets an opportunity to become a champion again.
